RoamCircuit / Accessibility

Planning should feel easier to use.

The features included in this version and ways to work around common barriers.

Our approach

RoamCircuit is designed to keep practical travel calculations readable and straightforward on desktop and mobile. Accessibility is part of that approach, but the presence of accessibility features is not a claim that every user, browser or assistive-technology combination has been independently audited.

Features included

  • Semantic page headings and navigation labels help describe the page structure.
  • Calculator fields have visible labels rather than relying only on placeholder text.
  • Links, buttons and inputs have visible keyboard-focus indicators.
  • Layouts adapt to narrow screens, with tool forms arranged in one column on smaller devices.
  • Reduced-motion preferences are respected by the interface.
  • Tool results use a live region so updates can be announced by supporting assistive technology.
  • Every tool has its own page, with a descriptive title and related-tool links.

Using a keyboard

Use Tab and Shift + Tab to move between interactive elements. Activate links with Enter. The All Tools and Other Pages menus use native disclosure controls: focus their labels and press Enter or Space to open or close them. Escape closes an open navigation dropdown and returns focus to its label.

On smaller screens, activate the Menu button first to reveal the navigation. Form fields can be completed with the keyboard, and the Calculate button submits the current tool.

Reading, zooming and printing

Use your browser’s zoom and text settings to find a comfortable reading size. The site uses text labels alongside visual cues; information is not intended to depend on colour alone. Packing checklist items can be checked individually, and the print button opens your browser’s print workflow.

Printing and PDF accessibility depend partly on browser output. Keep an editable text copy if that better suits your needs.

Known limits and reporting a barrier

Date-and-time controls and numeric input behavior vary between browsers and devices. Tool results depend on JavaScript; without it, calculator forms and generated outputs are unavailable. Full assistive-technology compatibility and formal conformance have not been independently verified.

If you identify an issue, note the page, task, browser and assistive technology involved. A verified reporting channel has not yet been enabled; its availability is described on the Contact page. Do not include sensitive personal or travel documents in an accessibility report.
